The Road Ahead

Its been a long time coming but welcome to the start of the title defence.

After the events of last season, good and bad I think we all deserved a
break to gather our thoughts and pencil in processes to gauge how we would
tackle our first full campaign at the Dome. A venue which is much maligned
in the eyes of any active member of the North Terrace.

Last season was a delight in many aspects thanks largely to BWB. We took
tifo and choreographed displays to new levels and created an atmosphere
never before seen on the sporting landscape of this country. Considering the
restrictions that were placed in us by venue management it was a mighy job
by everyone in the home end.

While the plaudits came in thick and fast, at home and overseas, it was at
administrative level that we had our work cut out. We shall see if there is
a change this season and may re-visit this topic in a future edition.

We were able to create a great atmosphere on Level 1 at the dome. As time
went on and the general terrace popolus grew the area was no longer
accomodating to what BWB was trying to acheive. BWB has taken the
extroardinary step of re-location and will move to level 3 for season
2007/08. Our intention is to start small which some would say is like us
going back to our roots and starting afresh. The path we're headed does
remind me a lot of humble beginnings for the group back in Round 2, 2005.
With such a sparse area on the top deck, it allows for growth should BWB
seek it. We can be bigger up there should we so desire, Tifo's would look so
much better and we dont need to rush two hours prior to kick off to reserve
a seat.

It must be emphasosed that BWB is not running away from the problem's that
we currently face on Level 1 but taking steps to consolidate its active
members in what is geographically a larger space. Level 1 is nothing but a
slice of history. We have outgrown it.

BWB welcomes all active North Terrace supporters to join us on level 3 in
the future. Please, if you are just going to observe and not be active, or
if you have a problem with standards, flags and banners obstructing your
view then do us and everyone else a favour by staying away. BWB and the NT
is just not for you. BWB remains inclusive of all affiliate groups and North
Terrace regulars.

commercialism in the North Terrace.
